Musica!

It engulfed her... completely. It surrounded her, covered her from head to toe. She did not find it the slightest bit uncomfortable. She let it wash over her, taking in the feeling that came along with it. It was all over her but she floated on that sensation. It hit her brain. She loved it. Every single time. She could never get over how powerful and in control it made her feel.

She separated the Guitar from herself and peered into the mirror. Wow! She was a mess. And she loved herself this way. She was the proverbial Wild-child. Took up music when her mother died. She was only 10. Now, 18, she knew the world was underneath her feet. All she had to do was switch from the normal mode to 'Wild Mode.' She had been asked to play rhythm by a band. She just could not believe her luck and leaped at the offer. She was getting ready for her big gig. It was her day to prove to her critics that girls can be rockers too. And play as well! She got her usual bout of nervousness, but nervousness is good. She got up on the stage. It was her turn to begin, the others would join in over the song. She stood there facing hundreds. feeling the line that divided them. She did not feel like knowing even her friends in the crowd. No, today, she was the master and they were her followers. Her faithful zombies who would head bang and mosh to the tune she played. She felt immortal. Nothing could take her down now. She let out a roar that vibrated and rang in each and every ear. She struck the first chord... and then...

It engulfed her... completely...!
